Disability Benefits

A member may retire after completing four years of creditable service if they become totally and permanently disabled (O.C.G.A. §47-25-84). Such members are entitled to receive retirement benefits as if their retirement were effective when they became disabled. The degree and nature of the disability are determined by the board.
