Count Military Service

Should a member of the Fund be called into Active Military Service from their employment as a peace officer, they will be granted a Military Leave. During such time, they are not required to make payment of monthly dues. If the member returns to peace officer employment within 6 months from the date of the release from Military Service, with no other employment in between, they will receive credit toward retirement benefits for the time served in the Military with a maximum of 5 years.

Creditable Military Service requires documentation by copy of original Military Orders and Discharge Orders.

Military time served before joining the Fund is not eligible time for service credit.
